The North of Ireland is now a must-see for any traveller arriving in Ireland.

This tour enables you to focus on Northern Ireland, the little corner of our Motherland so present in World Headlines since 1969 but now experiencing a new dawn after an end to the 30 years of political-violence.

We even INCLUDE the Titanic Experience Visitor Centre, save a whopping £12!

*note: Our 2 day tours combine 2 of our 1 day adventures with an overnight stay, and are ideal for those short on time. They also offer a big range of departure dates as they combine with our 1 day groups. If you are looking for a famous Paddywagon group tour please check out our 3 day tours!*

We introduce you to local guides, the fun-loving characters and customs of both the Ulster-Irish and Ulster-British communities.

Our overnight stay will be some of the great memories of your travels. Downtown Belfast is amazing and the glorious Glens of Antrim are an absolute Irish paradise with Bonnie Scotland in full view 12 miles away.

We hike to the famous Rope Bridge (consider crossing at your own risk for a small optional charitable donation to the National Trust, the registered UK charity that maintains the Bridge) and see the eighth wonder of the world, the Giants Causeway, before viewing the formidable Dunluce Castle.

With breathtaking scenery, genuine and warm locals, unspoiled landscapes and a living history, Northern Ireland (or ‘Norn Iron’ in the beautful broad local accent) is a real travellers paradise.
  • Day 1: Dublin to Belfast.
08:00 - Depart Dublin's fair city with your sparkling Irish Tour Guide and a host of other international travellers of all ages. We depart from Paddys Palace/Dublin Central Hostel on Lower Gardiner Street near BusAras and the official Dublin Tourist Office on Suffolk street (the former church on the south side of town) and O'Connell Street (Dublins main city). It's onwards to the North. A wonderful tour lies ahead, with a short 2 hour drive to Belfast on the brand new 'Peace Highway'. The drive up will be broken up by some interesting and lovely little stops. 09:00-09.30 - After a few songs (Paddywagon guides are famed for their ability to sing fun Irish ballads) and many stories en route we'll stop off at beautiful St. Peters Cathedral in Drogheda. Now before you go and think 'oh no, not another Cathedral' - we are primarily taking you here to view the fully preserved head of St. Oliver Plunkett! Yes that's right, his actual head! St. Oliver, or plain old Bishop Oliver as he was then known, was beheaded by the English in 1681 and his rather handsome head now sits staring at you from a glass box by the altar!). This is one of the bizarre cultural gems Paddywagon love to take you off the beaten path to see. Depart 09.30 09.45-10.00: We'll take a wee drive off the highway and down the much less beaten path to visit the haunting ruins of Monasterboice. See a real 10th century Round-Tower and learn how our ancestors took refuge from the scary Vikings and touch the most beautiful Celtic Crosses in Ireland, carved by hand by Monks way back before power-tools in the 9th century. Arrive in lovely Belfast where we have 2 HOURS FREE-TIME. Consider an optional (£8.50) world famous Black Taxi Tour of the Falls and Shankill Roads along with murals of troubled times and also the peace wall. Highly recommended by Lonely Planet and al leading guidebooks... and also Paddywagon! Or Take the free time for lunch and shopping time in Belfast bustling downtown shopping area. Excellent shops, much cheaper than Dublin! Use your free time to explore this magical city. Visit the Crown Liquor Saloon, explore the Grand Opera House or check out Belfasts own leaning tower “Albert Clock” Loads of time for a tasty and traditional Ulster lunch ! ENTRY INCLUDED: TITANIC BELFAST ! Depart the city centre drop-off point and drive to the docks to visit Belfast's Number 1 attraction. The Titanic Experience! We take you on a most fascinating experince with a 2hr visit and tour of the all new amazing “Titanic Belfast.” We get to experience every emotion from her conception in Belfast in the early 1900’s, through her construction and launch, to her infamous maiden voyage and catastrophic demise. ENTRY INCLUDED!!. WORTH €15.00 This is one of the worlds most famous visitor attractions. We will overnight in Belfast's historic downtown University quarter

  • Day 2: Belfast to Causeway and back to Dublin
Leave Belfast and we’ll drive through the rolling farmland of County Antrim to the North Coast of Ulster. Our fist stop shall be the enchanting town of Ballintoy which is home to the famed Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. There are truly amazing views of Scotland. Rathlin Island is four miles off the coast, a huge bird-colony between ourselves and Bonnie Scotland. Take the exhilarating rope bridge to Carrick-a-Rede island and enjoy a truly clifftop experience. This 30-metre deep and 20-metre wide chasm is traversed by a rope bridge traditionally erected by salmon fishermen. Visitors bold enough to cross to the rocky island are rewarded with fantastic views Don't miss Fantastic birdwatching and unrivalled coastal scenery. (there is a fee payable to the National Trust for those wishing to cross) Since the 18th century The Giant's Causeway has often been described as 'The Eighth Wonder Of The World' and once you have visited the site you will quickly see why. The area consists of an estimated 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns, which were formed during a volcano eruption 60 million years ago. This is one of the great natural attractions of the world and many of us Irish passionately believe the Causeway was built buy our Celtic warrior hero Finn McCool. A brand new ultra-modern visitor centre has opened and we include the entrance. Save a whopping £8! This entrance also includes their unique audio guides with earphones which tells the story of the rock formations in many different languages, as you stand on them We GUARANTEE 2 HOURS at the Giants Causeway At 3.30pm we continue up the road for a photo-stop at the evocative clifftop ruins of Dunluce Caste, ancestral home of the MacDonnell Clan. Then we return to Dublin taking in a short rest and relaxation stop on the Republic side of the border, with time to get some refreshments and gather our thoughts on a most inspiring day out .With a wealth of songs and stories and memories of lovely sites experienced we arrive back in Dublin after the one of the best day tours in the world!
