Unquestionably one of the most scenically beautiful places in Ireland,  I recently discovered that the region of Connemara is not to be missed while on holiday in Ireland! Check out this picturesque landscape on a Paddywagon tour! Paddywagon’s extensive but enjoyable tour not only encompasses Connemara, but also the lovely and quaint village of Cong, made famous by the film “The Quiet Man”, and the vibrant city of Galway. While trekking through the rugged landscape of the Burren, enjoy the craic with your guide as he entertains you with famous and catchy Irish ballads!

Once setting off from Dublin, we drove along the awe inspiring rugged countryside of Connemara towards the lovely village of Cong, home of the grand Ashford Castle and the stunning Cong Abbey. Take advantage of the fantastic photo opportunities and capture memories to last a lifetime while strolling through this charming town! After departing Cong, we travelled along to the tranquil and pristine Lough Corrib, the second largest lake in Ireland and home to and abundance of wildlife. Make sure to take many pictures of this sparkling stretch of water! From Lough Corrib, we journeyed along the coastal route near Galway Bay towards the lively western city of Galway.

Known as the cultural heart of Ireland, Galway certainly did not disappoint! Upon our arrival, we had the option to take a walking tour or stroll along on our own. We had a full two hours to explore this bustling city, and made sure to amble around the promenade, watched some entertaining street performers and even listen to some great Irish music at a local pub!

We left Galway with our hearts full of cherished memories of a wonderful day out and hopped on the bus to journey back to Dublin. The views along the way back were just as stunning as the ride there! We returned to Dublin at about 8:30, with plenty of time to grab a late dinner and pint to top off our busy day!
