Discover the very best of Northern Ireland on this popular two day tour from Dublin.
This province of Ireland was for centuries one of the most important industrial heartlands of the British Empire and following the partition of Ireland became world famous for the civil war of the 1970s, 80s and 90s.
Over 20 years on from the Peace Agreement of 1998, Northern Ireland is now a must-see for any traveler arriving in Ireland.
We’ll introduce you to the best of Northern Ireland - both town and country - and offer a flavour of the local cultures, both Ulster Irish and Ulster British.
See all the highlights of historic Belfast (including Titanic Belfast) with ample time at leisure downtown and an overnight stay (University Quarter) to sample the local nightlife - with a bustling restaurant and pub scene.
Your second day takes you deep into the incredible countryside of the north coast with visits to Dunluce Castle ruins, UNESCO Giant’s Causeway and Dark Hedges.
Throw in a good pub lunch with the chance to sample some local food & drink (maybe a pint of Harp Lager or a glass of Bushmills) and you have all the ingredients for an amazing two days in the north.
Accommodation is included in the unbeatable price. Please see booking calendar for dates, rates and collection points.

Itinerary
Day 1: Dublin - Monasterboice Ruins - Titanic Belfast - Black Taxi (option) - Belfast (overnight)
Meet in central Dublin from one of our convenient collection points (see booking calendar for details).
A wonderful tour lies ahead, with a short two hour drive to Belfast on the brand new 'Peace Highway'. The drive up will be broken up by some interesting and lovely little stops.
Our first stop is the haunting ruins of Monasterboice. See a real 10th century round tower and learn how our ancestors took refuge from the Vikings. Touch the most beautiful Celtic crosses in Ireland, hand-carved by monks in the 9th century.
Arrive in Belfast where we visit Northern Ireland’s premium attraction - the Titanic Experience (GBP 25.00 entry included)! We take you on a fascinating journey back in time during which you will experience Titanic's story. From her conception in Belfast in the early 1900s, through her construction and launch, to her infamous maiden voyage and catastrophic demise.
With plenty of free time in Belfast city, we recommend the optional (EUR 20.00 / GBP 15.00) Black Taxi Tour which will take you on a political and historical journey of the city. You will visit the Falls and Shankill Roads, murals and the peace wall, learn the city's troubled history and how Belfast overcame the troubles. This tour comes highly recommended by National Geographic and Conde Nast Traveler.
Use the free time to enjoy lunch and shopping in Belfast bustling downtown area. Excellent shopping opportunities as the prices are much lower than Dublin! We also recommend a visit to the Crown Liquor Saloon, Grand Opera House, Botanical Gardens, City Hall, Queen's University, and Belfast's own leaning tower - Albert Clock.
We will overnight in Belfast's historic University quarter with a vast array of bars, music venues and fantastic eateries to suit all budgets.
Day 2: Belfast - Dunluce Castle - UNESCO Giant's Causeway - Dark Hedges - Dublin
Your tour of Northern Ireland continues after breakfast this morning. Your driver will collect you from your accommodation at approximately 09:30.
Sit back and relax into your premium touring seat as we drive through the beautiful County Antrim en- route to the North Coast of Ulster.
First up this morning is typically Dunluce Castle, the ancestral home of the McDonnell Clan and known to Game of Thrones fans as The House of Greyjoy! This spectacular ruin is perched atop cliffs overlooking the North Atlantic Ocean and is such a romantic location. Part of the castle infamously collapsed into the sea during a banquet several centuries ago - killing the kitchen staff. Dunluce is reputed to be haunted since, so bear that in mind! The grounds and surrounds are beautiful for a stroll, fresh air and photography. With the longer daylight hours from 1st April we will include almost an hour here with paid entrance for your convenience.
Next up is lunch which is usually enjoyed at a good pub near Giant’s Causeway.
After sampling some delicious Northern Irish food & drink (not included) the tour will continue to UNESCO Giant’s Causeway - today’s highlight.
Since the 18th century The Giant's Causeway has often been described as 'The Eighth Wonder Of The World' and once you have visited the site you will quickly see why. The area consists of an estimated 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns, which were formed during a volcano eruption 60 million years ago. This is one of the great natural attractions of the world and some of the locals believe the Causeway was built by ancient giant Finn McCool. Listen to the legends and make up your own mind!
We round off the afternoon with a visit to Dark Hedges which has formed an eerie driveway to an aristocratic estate since the 1700. Game of Thrones fans will recognise the tree lined avenue as King’s Road! Enjoy ample time here for a stroll and a photo before we head back to Dublin.
You’ll enjoy a short refreshment stop along the way and finish up in downtown Dublin around 20:00.
We hope you have enjoyed your two days of discovery in Northern Ireland!
