Itinerary

  • Depart Dublin

We collect from a selection of Dublin's leading hotels (please see booking calendar for details).

You'll enjoy the comfort and style of a luxury Mercedes- Benz touring vehicle, with a maximum of 25 passengers on this small group tour, led by one of our best guides.

The journey takes us through the picture- postcard midlands of Ireland, the “Golden Vale” agricultural plains of counties Tipperary and Cork. This is arguably the most fertile agricultural valley in all of Europe, and home to some of Ireland's best beef and dairy farms and the world's largest breeding stud of thoroughbred racehorses. As the tour passes fields with grazing stallions you'll enjoy panoramic views of the Galtee Mountains.
  • CAHIR CASTLE, CO. TIPPERARY

Our first stop will be Cahir Castle. The stronghold of the powerful Butler family since 1375 AD, the castle retains its impressive keep, tower and much of its original defensive structure. It is one of Ireland's largest and best preserved castles, situated on a rocky island on the River Suir.

Appearing to grow from the actual rock on which it stands, the castle has been the scene of sieges and bombardments for centuries. The fortress was captured three times in its history: it fell to Devereux, Earl of Essex, in 1599 after it had been battered for three days with artillery; it surrendered without a fight to Inchiquin in 1647; and again to Cromwell in 1650.

Recently the castle welcomed Irish Hollywood star Michael Fassbender, his wife Alicia Vikander and Game of Thrones star Ralph Ineson for the shoot of The Green Knight - an epic fantasy expected !

One of the best preserved castles anywhere in Europe. Your entrance fee (EUR 5.00) is included in the price of this tour.
  • BLARNEY CASTLE, CO. CORK

Famed in song and story, the Irish are famous for the “Blarney”. Kiss the Blarney Stone and you too will receive this “gift of the gab” - 7 years of eloquent speech. Situated on the battlements of Blarney Castle you will have to bend over backwards to kiss the stone! You have time to enjoy a stroll around the fabulous gardens of the Blarney Estate or maybe enjoy the beautiful Lake Walk. We also visit the Witches Cave in the castle grounds before having plenty of time to indulge in the tax free shopping haven of the Blarney Woollen Mills and craft shop. Your entrance fee (EUR 20.00) is included in the price of this tour.
  • RETURN TO DUBLIN

Tour ends in Dublin approx. 19:30 in time for refreshments and evening dinner reservations.
