Overview

By popular demand, we're introducing a Cliffs of Moher and Aran Islands tour from 1st April 2023.

Spend 2.5 hours on Inis Oirr (Inisheer in the English language pronunciation), smallest of the three Aran Islands and get a glimpse of traditional island life and Gaelic culture.

As the ferry crosses over from Doolin Pier, you'll also enjoy spectacular Cliffs of Moher from the water (15 minute ferry crossing each way).

Bring a packed lunch, grab a sandwich locally or sample delicious local food and drink in one of Inis Oirr's traditional pubs.

We expect to have you back in Dublin by 19:00. Alternatively, perhaps you'd like to overnight on Inis Oirr or in Doolin and come back with the tour tomorrow? Why not check out the 2 day version?

With a free cancellation option up to 24 hours before departure you can pre- book with confidence. Lock in your seats (any date for Spring / Summer 2023) at the early bird rate today.

  • Depart downtown Dublin

Select one of the central collection points (see booking calendar for details).

Departure points are available on both sides of the river Liffey for your convenience and ease of access.

This tour is going further than most other itineraries, so it's good to get on the road early.

Sit back into the plush seat of your touring coach and doze off for a while or watch the city landscapes turn to suburbs and then to countryside.

  • Ferry to Inis Oirr from Doolin Pier

We expect to reach the Pier at Doolin by 10:45.

Your ferry arrangements have already been taken care of and you'll be delivered right to the gangway of the boat.

The crossing typically takes around 15 minutes as you are travelling with the largest and fastest fleet. You'll be dockside on the island by 11:15 approx.

Enjoy spectacular Cliffs of Moher views during the sailing.

  • Inis Oirr at leisure (2.5 hours)

Inis Oirr (Inisheer) is only 15 minutes from Doolin by ferry so you can easily head out to the Island for few hours, a day trip, or overnight (see our 2 day tour for an overnight option).

On this day trip you'll have approx. 2.5 hours which is ample time for most visitors given the small size of the island.

Your time will be at leisure, so choose to experience the locality on foot, by bicycle, minivan or pony & trap (hire available dockside)

Perhaps explore O'Brien's castle and Teampall Chaomhin (Kevin's church) which are just a short stroll from the beach.

If you're thirsty maybe ask one of the bar staff in one of the islands three pubs to teach you how to order a pint "as Gaeilge".

  • Ferry from Inis Oirr to Doolin Pier

The ferry departs from Inis Oirr at 13.45 and will have you back at Doolin Pier in good time to regroup with your tour.

The Cliffs of Moher tower in front of you on the return voyage making for incredible photography as seagulls cry far overhead.

  • Return to Dublin

With everyone back on the coach by 15:00 approx., your driver will take you back to Dublin as efficiently as possible by motorway through emerald Irish farmland.

Naturally, the tour will break for refreshments along the way including restrooms, snacks, sodas, water or coffee.

Enjoy the free wifi and USB ports as you relax and share impressions of your day with friends and family.

Arrive in downtown Dublin at apprx. 19:00 with a full night ahead to sample the pubs and restaurants of our capital city.

We hope you have enjoyed your visit to the smallest of the Aran Islands and the Cliffs of Moher views along the way!
